Tech Savvy :: Sandra Dieckmann & TeuxDeux

I have been brainstorming some new column ideas over the two months and Tech Savvy is one of my favorites! Each week I will share a tech case, cover, or bag that caught my eye along with one of my favorite apps.

This week I chose the incredibly colorful Pattern iPhone case by Sandra Dieckmann. Sandra is an East London based illustrator with tons of talent. She graduated with a BA Hons in Graphic Information Design with 1st class honours with distinction from the University of Westminster London and won an award for Upcoming Talent in Illustration in the UK for her image ‘Fox Tree’ in 2011.

I selected the TeuxDeux app this week because it has definitely helped me to streamline my to do lists and keep them with with me at all times. I am a serial list writer. I write lists everywhere. On notepads, on napkins, on junk mail… You get the picture. So imagine scenario A. I’m on my lunch break jotting down a list of things I need to pick up from the supermarket on my way home from work. The end of the day draws near, I chat with a coworker as I pack up my belongings and leave the office. However, while I was packing and chatting, lo and behold, I have left behind my grocery list. Sadness. I won’t bother to include Scenario B because it is actually a similar story just a different distraction, location and list. Ha!

Now with TeuxDeux I do not have to worry about that anymore! Yay! It syncs to the web from both my iPad and iPhone, so all of my lists are in one place! Now all I need is an app to help me find my car keys… Here is a quick video below to show you the app and what it can do. By the way, TeuxDeux was created by Tina Roth Eisenberg, also known as swissmiss, of the swissmiss design studio and blog. She is very cool and down-to-earth and I met her here.

What are some of your favorite apps?

Have a great weekend!

  • I love TeuxDeux myself! I have been sharing this app with all my close friends, even my hubby, as one of the best ways to keep up with a variety of lists all in one place.

I use different logins for each part of my life so I have a different username for work, personal, my blog, and my puppy.

I make category headers for each section of Someday as well. For example, in my personal TeuxDeux list, I have labeled the columns of Someday as follows: me, husband, daughter, son, house.

It’s the best app to manage to do lists. Period.

  • I’m am irrationally in love with flipboard right now. Have you tried it? It makes my rss feed look so beautiful. Swoon!

And I looove that case you found!

Thanks Jen! I have tried Flipboard and it does make everything that much prettier! I have yet to transfer everything I follow in Google Reader to it yet. Hmmm… maybe I will add that to my Someday list in Teux Deux.
